I really liked this week about establishing a balance between family and work. It is not easy to achieve, but it is worth the effort that each person can do.

Like Haykin, many of us struggle every day to keep our family life balanced with work. Both are important, but the family determines the happiness and motivation to move forward despite how difficult it is to live in a world that says work is above the family relationship.

Another important point that I liked this week was that when a person gives work to several people, in some way one feels responsible for each one of them, always worrying about not making decisions that affect them and diminishing their confidence and desire of to get better.

Risks are necessary in the development of a business or company, the most important thing is to learn to take controlled risks, not to compromise the total assets that we have, but always maintaining a benefit that allows us to have something always where to start again when Sometimes things do not happen as planned.

In conclusion I can say that family should always be our priority, since the purpose of our time here in life is to be happy. Balancing both is a great responsibility that can define many things.

Based on what you read in the first two pages (pages 3 and 4), why are virtue and integrity so vital to an economy?

Many of the important decisions within a country are governed by politicians, people who arrived there by a common agreement of voters, trusting in that person, like a voice for the whole country to listen them and help in the resolution of their problems.

Unfortunately the economy of a country, the major decisions taken in matters of economy go through the analysis and evaluation of people elected by the people. If these people are not virtuous and in no way inclined to benefit the people who elected him. Big decisions nowadays lean more on the benefit of large corporations, than for the welfare of education and health in a country.

There is a lack of integrity and virtue in their dealings and policies that directly affect our economy, hurting thousands of people with their decisions and just thinking about their personal benefit.

The meaning of both words in the dictionary:

Virtue:
Provision of the person to act according to certain ideal projects as good, truth, justice and beauty.

Integrity:
Something whole is a thing that possesses all its parts intact or, said of a person, refers to a correct, educated, attentive, probo and unblemished individual.

We definitely need a lot of integrity and virtue to grow and improve in our economy, there is an exaggerated lack of values in the lives of people who make important decisions about economics.

According to Charles Handy, what is the “real justification” for the existence of businesses?
The purpose of gaining profits in a business is so that it can further improve the business, make it grow, that small growth is the true justification.

What are two solutions proposed by Handy that you agree with? Why?
The use of truth in the declaration of your income and expenses. Because the truth will set us free and it will make us grow economically.

What is your attitude toward money?

I was remembering the words in the Bible Matthew 6:21
"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." I personally, I have always considered money as a means, a way to reach a goal. I fully agree that money itself is not good or bad, that depends on the use we can give. I can do lots of good for many people, as well as I can do a lot of damage to many people with the use of money.

The question here would be, what is the reason that drives you to get more money? Maybe the answer was always in the scriptures, where your treasure is there will be your heart.

How can your view of money affect the way you live?

The world teaches us that money is a goal, not a means. Allowing money to point the way and decide for us is a bad decision in every way. There are much higher and special reasons that should always be our strength and purpose, such as helping our brothers, caring for our family, being happy.

Money can do you a lot to do good, but it also has a lot of power to invite you to change your priorities. We must be careful.

What rules are recommended for prospering?

Rule 1. Seek the Lord and have hope in him
Rule 2. Keep the commandments, that includes the temporal ones, tithing and fast offerings.
Rule 3. Think about money and plan how you can become self-reliant.
Rule 4. Take advantage of chances for learning so you will not be ignorant of these matters.
Education, President Hinckley has taught us, is the Key to Opportunity.
Rule 5. Learn the laws upon which the blessings of wealth are predicated.
Rule 6. Do not send away the naked, the hungry, the thirsty or the sick or those who are held
Captive. We have time for just a few more thoughts on how to make money.

Excellent week, full of learning and commitment. I have been able to develop a general idea of how a person grows and can become a successful entrepreneur. The path is not easy, there must always be a commitment and close relationship with our Heavenly Father to be blessed in our projects and aspirations.

I very much enjoyed the positive attitude and the desire for improvement applied in all the situations of my interviewee, it is special to get infected with this desire to continue to improve. Here 5 important points that I liked.

1. Do your job well.
This week I learned about getting to know your work well. I remember, that your work is your best presentation and reference for future works.

2. Treat everybody well.
Being friends with everyone and having good relationships with each other helps us a lot when it comes to finding job opportunities. It is not easy but it is important to get along with everyone, treat people well, each person can speak well or ill of one.

3. Be a good dealer.
Knowing to establish a price or financial arrangement for the work performed is very important, that implies knowledge of market prices and quality of work.

4. Vision.
We must always do a job, with the goal of reaching a goal. Never lose sight.

5. Work hard.
Hard and constant work involved getting up early, fighting discouragement and always being positive in the projects and work to be done.

This week I get a lot of attention from the words of Carly Fiorina, Former Ceo Hp. She mentioned three important things about leadership and these are:
Capacity, collaboration and character.

She mentions that generally when talking about ability, relate it to the skills that a person has, experience they have through the years, etc. All these things are important, but what should be in the first place is the ability to ask and know how to wait for the answer.

I liked this way to see things, to have the ability to know how to ask and much more to know how to wait for the answers. I have met people with that gift of listening and understanding well before executing an action.

Another point to mention in this week is the ability to execute an action, there are people with that rare but necessary skill. Garcia's story clearly epitomizes this subject, even being much more valued than the talent or skill a person has within a work area. I finish this publication with these phrase that has muchisima truth and that the world needs inside: The ability to execute is more valuable than education or talent, because it is far rarer.

If we have some gifts or skills that we need, we must ask our heavenly Father to help us in the process of finding them.

The video showed "Good Things to Come" made me think about the things that happen in real life, we all have difficulties to overcome, challenges to meet and often just went ahead motivated by the desire to help our families develop and grow.

Life is not easy, it is a difficult world, is a large and spacious field, which should show our Heavenly Father if we will be able to show our love for him, through our obedience to His commandments.

I have personally wrong many times, I have felt in my heart the frustrations and discouragement for the consequences of my decisions, but go ahead, I am confident that God will bless me in proportion to my obedience and perseverance.

This week I remembered that God cares for us, we want to help, He is always with us at all times, He knows all things, and tells us to keep going despite everything that happens around us.

I really liked this video, I received it personally, as if the Lord were speaking to me and answering my prayers. I know that there is something good in this life for me and for my family, I go ahead and God help me in my process of being better every day to bless my life and my family.

What are you looking forward to learning and experiencing?
I hope to learn from the advice, experiences and suggestions of successful entrepreneurs. I hope to meet the consequences of decisions on issues of entrepreneurial businesses, results when certain parameters and recommendations follows.

Knowing something implies more than just reading and repeating processes need to be consistent and persistent in our projects, avoiding being amateur, obsessive and hackers persons (Mastery Book), rather following the 5 key tips to achieve mastery and get results long term.

What did you learn from the readings and video this week?
President Hinckley learned this week about the importance of being honest with ourselves, at all times, everywhere and in everything you do. Honoured with the people we love and especially with our God and Jesus Christ.

Guy Kawasaki (Garage Technology Ventures) I learned that money is important but to help others, that what really matters is the process we are developing to achieve our goal and learn to improve ourselves every day.

Stephen R Covey. This week I really liked recall one of the 7 Habits that helped me and still help me in my life.

Be proactive. A much needed dwell in our personal and professional life. It helps to have control always our thoughts and ideas, not to automatically react to the consequences of those decisions and to find ways to solve the difficulties and problems that arise in our way.  Here I leave the 4 basic and important concepts:

Self-awareness - the thoughts Ability to control.
Imagination - the Ability to create a new reality mentally.
Conscience - an inner awareness of right and wrong.
Independent will - Ability to act on the thoughts

In conclusion I can mention that we are human beings with the ability to learn every day, to change certain negative habits and learn from our mistakes and seek to improve. That is the difference we have with animals, who are born with an already defined programming and can not change it.
